Courage

More powerful than the will to win is the courage to begin.[i]

Whether you be man or woman you will never do anything in this world without courage. It is the greatest quality of the mind next to honor.[ii] Everyone has talent. What is rare is the courage to follow that talent to the dark place it leads.[iii]

Often the difference between a successful person and a failure is not one has better abilities or ideas, but the courage that one has to bet on one's ideas, to take a calculated risk -- and to act.[iv] You don't develop courage by being happy in your relationships everyday. You develop it by surviving difficult times and challenging adversity.[v] Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all others.[vi] Half a man's wisdom goes with his courage. [vii]

Courage is the greatest of all the virtues. Because if you haven't courage, you may not have an opportunity to use any of the others.[viii] People are like stained glass windows; they sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within.[ix]

There is one quality that one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it.[x] Victory always starts in the head. It's a state of mind. It then spreads with such radiance and such affirmations that destiny can do nothing but obey.[xi] Fortune befriends the bold.[xii] The will to win, the desire to succeed, the urge to reach your full potential ... these are the keys that will unlock the door to personal excellence.[xiii]
